I want to embed a flash .swf file into my Joomla project. I have been at it for two hours and haven’t made much progress. I’m kind of stuck. Anyone familiar with Joomla that may have some knowledge regarding my issue?
Joomla is a free and open source content management system for publishing content on the World Wide Web. It is written in PHP, uses object-oriented programming techniques and software design patters. It is quite popular among site builders, which not only allows you to add text articles, but also kinds of media files. In this article, we will talk about how to insert flash .swf files into Joomla.
Step 1: Download and install Joomla to your computer. Login into the Administrator panel with your username and password.
Step 2: Upload your flash .swf file to any directory of your Joomla website, for example, images, and remember the path.
Step 3: Enter into the Joomla article you would like to embed the flash SWF. Click the “Insert/edit embedded media” button and select the type of file, mostly like SWF/Flash.
Step 4: Input the URL information of your flash .swf file in “File/URL”. Then click “Insert”. Save the article, you will succeed to embed flash in Joomla article.
